Maria Hornshøj

Maria Hornshøj er en kunstner som bor og jobber i Hørsholm, Danmark. Hun har master fra Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi i København, og har siden arbeidet som billedkunstner og underviser. 'My work revolves around the small pauses that occur in everyday life. Suddenly you dwell but don’t notice it. When riding the Metro, the bus or escalator waiting for your stop, looking out the window in an inner state of mind. On the bike trough the city, passing shop windows, people, and life and in the midst of this, streets gets broken up and they dissolves into a ray of light and colour. And you find yourself in a Zen like place, where you let go of time and space. I love to point at those places through my work.'
