Invitation with a demand of release

Today the invitations from  Amnesty International, Den norske Forfatterforening, Norsk PEN and Norsk Litteraturfestival to the  saudi-arabian blogger Raif Badawi, the etiopian journalist Eskinder Nega and the poet Mohammed al-Ajami from Quatar are sent of.

550 norwegian authors, writers, publishers, editors and the public gather behind  Amnesty Internationals demand of instant release and also using their voice to invite  three imprissoned heroes for freedom of speech  to the Norwegian Festival of Literature in Lillehammer.

Among the authors that have signed we find Tom Egeland, Mette Karlsvik, Lars Ove Seljestad, Cathrine Grøndahl, Jan Jakob Tønseth, Einar Økland, Jan Erik Vold, Øyvind Berg, Aage Borchgrevink, Ketil Bjørnstad, Elisabeth Eide, Soudabeh Alishahi, Mikkel Bugge, Øyvind Rimbereid, Ingvild Rishøi, Beate Grimsrud, Arne Lygre, Hans Herbjørnsrud, Aasne Linnestå, Ove Røsbak, Trude Marstein, Merethe Lindstrøm, Alf R. Jacobsen, Harald Rosenløw Eeg, Brit Bildøen, Maria Tryti Vennerød, Eldrid Lunden, Gunnar Staalesen, Herbjørg Wassmo, Per Petterson, Kjersti Skomsvold, Ragnar Hovland, Hilde Hagerup, Stein Versto, Knut Nærum og Roy Jacobsen.

Blir invitert til vårens festival

Raif Badawi, Eskinder Nega og Mohammed al-Ajami are all imprisoned for peacefully having expressed their meanings. Independent of wether they get our of jail in time, the Festival of Literature will go ahead with tree solidatityevents, whitch will fokus on the freedom of speach through music, debates and poetry.
