James Rebanks is the man behind the bestseller The Shepherd’s Life. After his degree at Oxford he returned to Lake District to take over his family farm. He writes about humans’ relation to nature so called Nature Writing. He has a world famous Twitter account @herdyshepherd1, with over 80 000 followers, and is therefore not the average farmer we know from before.
Meg Rosoff is one of England’s most Young Adult-writers. Her first novel has sold over a million copies to 36 countries. British Pakistani Kamila Shamsie’s last book A God in Every Stone, can tranfer you to other places and other times by just reading a couple of pages. In 2013 she could be found on Grantas shortlist for young writers.
