Dr. Iman Al-Ghafari is a Syrian academic and a lesbian writer. Her PhD thesis was about identity in the poetry of Sylvia Plath. She has published widely on gender and lesbian issues in Middle-Eastern cultures. Her works include poetry, short stories, academic articles and literary translation
