Ida Hegazi Høyer

- Ida Jasmine Hegazi Høyer (born 1981), author Hegazi Høyer debuted in 2012 with the novel Under verden, followed in 2013 the novel Ut and in 2014 the novel Unnskyld. These three books are often referred to as the U trilogy. In 2014 she received the Bjørnson Scholarship. The jury wrote, among other things, that Høyer shows a keen eye on sociological structures. In 2015, she became one of twelve European authors to receive the EU Literature Prize. In 2015, Morgenbladet named Hegazi Høyer one of the best Norwegian authors under the age of 35. Her latest publication is the novel Kirurgen (2022).
