Kjersti Bjørkmo

Kjersti Bjørkmo (b. 1971) was born in Vestvågøy in Lofoten but grew up in Tromsø. She studied Spanish at the University of Bergen and now lives in Oslo, where she is a part-time employee of the Fritt Ord Foundation. In 2014 she debuted with the poetry collection 'Jeg har prøvd å bli venn med dyrene'. In the autumn of 2019, she came out with her second poetry collection 'Hadde du bodd her hadde du vært hjemme nå'.
