Torrey Peters

Torrey Peters had her breakthrough in 2021 with the novel Detransition, baby, which became a bestseller in the United States. She was the first transperson ever to be published at a major American book publishing house. For the same book, she has received the PEN/Hemingway Prize and been nominated for the Women's Prize for fiction 2021. She has previously published two self-published novellas. Torrey Peters was born in Chicago and now lives in Brooklyn.
