LITERATURE AS A COMPASS

The main character in British author Claire-Louise Bennett's latest novel Checkout 19 is a woman who lives through books, using her imagination to protect her from the outside world. Here, Bennett meets the Swedish essayist Kristoffer Leandoer who has written about many real people, not least writers, who have followed exactly the same strategy as Bennett's protagonist. The conversation will be led by professor of literature Tone Selboe.
