Canadian author Anne Carson is considered one of the most important poetic voices in contemporary English literature. Her genre-crossing, experimental texts combine poetry with opera libretto, drama and essay. Alongside her writing, she is a professor of classical languages and a translator of, among others, Sappho, Euripides and Catullus. Together with her partner, artist Robert Currie, Carson has also created a number of notable performances with her own texts as a basis.
In the festival, Anne Carson will perform the poetical text Stacks from the collection Float, together with Robert Currie and Niels Fredrik Dahl.
After the performance, there will be a 10 minute break followed by a Q and A with Anne Carson and Robert Currie, lead by Linn Ullman.
