Hedda Vormeland

Hedda Vormeland (b. 1977) is a literary translator, primarily from Dutch. Among her translations are Stefan Hertmans’s War and Turpentine, Lucas Rijneveld’s The Discomfort of Evening, and Tobi Lakmaker’s The History of My Sexuality. In 2022, Vormeland received the award Løvebrølet (“The Lion’s Roar”) for her advocacy on behalf of translators in public debate.
