HERNAN DIAZ

Hernan Diaz (b. 1973) is the author of two books that have been translated into more than twenty languages. For his debut, In the Distance (2017), he was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize and the PEN/Faulkner Award, and in 2022, he was nominated for the Man Booker Prize for Trust. In addition to writing novels, he has published a variety of short stories and essays. He also holds a PhD in philosophy. Diaz was born in Argentina and grew up in Sweden but has spent most of his life in the United States.
