Fotokreditering: Mattias Fossum Ingvild H. Rishøi debuted in 2007 with the short story collection La stå, which was the main selection in the Bokklubben Nye Bøker book club and was met with enthusiasm from both critics and readers. She followed up with the collection Historien om Fru Berg in 2011, which was also received with unanimous praise. Vinternoveller, published in 2014, solidified Rishøi’s position as one of the country’s leading authors, earning her the Brage Prize and the Critics' Prize, along with several other awards. In 2021, her first novel, Stargate. A Christmas Tale, was published. It is considered a modern classic, has been translated into more than 20 languages, and is set to be released as a feature film in 2025.
