Merete Franz has worked as a freelance translator since 1996. Since 2020, she has translated exclusively fiction and non‑fiction, from English, German, Danish, and Swedish into Norwegian.
In addition to her work as a translator, Franz co‑founded the House of Literature in Skien with Helle Riis in 2009. From 2017 to 2022, she served as Managing Director of the House of Literature in Skien.
