Sofija Andrukhovytsj

Sofija Andrukhovytsj (b. 1982) is from Ukraine. She made her debut in 2002 and published several books before Amadoka was released in Ukraine in 2020.

In addition, she has written children’s books and essays. Since the outbreak of the war in 2022, Andrukhovytsj has frequently been interviewed about the situation in Ukraine. Amadoka was awarded the Hermann Hesse Prize in Germany in 2024. This is her first book to be translated into Norwegian. Sofija Andrukhovytsj lives in Kyiv.
