Vegard Markhus

Vegard Markhus is an author, illustrator, and teacher. He made his debut with the picture book \Redd\ in 2008. For \Timothy mister seg sjølv\ (2010), he received the Nynorsk Children’s Literature Prize. In 2019, \Det runde problemet\ was published and nominated for the Norwegian Ministry of Culture’s Prize for Children’s and Young Adult Literature in the category of Best Picture Book. Markhus is also a musician. Together with Bjørnar Sangolt he forms the duo Naboen min, which creates music for children. In 2019 they received the Spellemann Prize for the album \Rockesock\.
