BOOK ART IN INDIA – A PRESENTATION BY BOOK ARTIST RADHA PANDEY

The art book Flora of Mughal India or Gulistaan-e-Hind (گلستان ھند) explores the changing perception of nature and its representation in illustrated manuscripts in India during a period of cultural and political transformations (1500–1700), and how it altered book art as well as the visual depiction of nature in India. A collaborative project between Pandey and artisans combines miniature painting, book printing, paper cutting, and hand-drawn elements in this book.
