ANNE MANGEN

Anne Mangen is professor of literacy at The Norwegian Reading Centre, University of Stavanger, Norway. Her research interests include the role of medium materiality for reading comprehension and engagement, and she is doing interdisciplinary, empirical research comparing the reading of literary and expository texts on laptops, tablets, e-readers and on paper.
Mangen was Chair for the European research network (COST Action) E-READ: Evolution of Reading in the Age of Digitisation (2014-2018), an interdisciplinary network involving about 200 researchers from 33 countries, focusing on empirical research on reading and digitization.
