LOUISE KENNEDY

Louise Kennedy grew up in Belfast but currently resides in Sligo, Ireland. She worked as a chef for 30 years and wrote for The Guardian, The Irish Times, and BBC Radio before making her debut as a writer with the short story collection The End of the World is a Cul de Sac.



Trespasses is Kennedy's first novel. It was awarded the Irish Book Awards Novel of the Year in 2022 and was shortlisted for The Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize 2022. It was also named Book of the Year 2022 by The Times and The Sunday Times, and was shortlisted for The Women's Prize for Fiction.
