MARIANNE HESKE

Marianne Heske is a Norwegian visual artist. She was one of the first artists in Norway to work conceptually and achieved early international recognition for her works.

In her artwork, Heske has utilized traditional graphic techniques, photography, silk-screen printing, collage, and installations. The work that has garnered the most attention both domestically and internationally is her computer paintings of motifs from the west coast of Norway, recorded on video and then transferred digitally onto canvas with ink.
