Public meeting on Freedom of Expression

Democracy and freedom of expression are under pressure around the world. This concerns everyone – how we speak to one another, how we listen, and how we stand up for what we believe in. World Expression Forum and the Norwegian Festival of Literature, together with partners, invite to an open public forum on freedom of expression in the garden of the Scandic Lillehammer Hotel. Experience thought-provoking conversations and powerful performances from international and Norwegian voices. On stage: Elif Shafak - internationally acclaimed author and advocate for freedom of expression, Megan Phelps-Roper - American activist and author, Kenneth Lien - concert lecture combining music and storytelling, Winner of the national writing competition De unges folketale, and Doaa Badawi - Palestinian poet and writer.
