Lukas Debeljak

Lukas Debeljak, 1999, Ljubljana, Slovenia. He studied in California, Berlin, and Vienna, where he is currently concluding an MA in Historical Studies at Central European University. He published and performs in Slovenia (Dialogi, Idiot, Literatura, etc.) and abroad (Enklava, Manuskripte, Rukopisi, etc.), where he was translated into English, Czech, Greek, German, Serbian, and Spanish. He published the chapbook Circular/ Circumferential Speed (Mala ignorirana knjižica, 2017) and two books: the debut collection To Know Like Water (CSK, 2022), which was selected as one of that year’s ten best books in Slovenia, and the book-length poem A Tree Nobody is Writing (LUD Šerpa), that was published in 2025. He also works as a translator.
